LOS ANGELES / DODGER STADIUM

Dodger Stadium parking vs transit

Start with the Express if your base connects easily to Union Station. Drive when the extra transfers or your party’s needs make that the more workable trip. Either way, choose the trip home before you leave.

Easy connection to Union Station

Try the Express first. You exchange stadium driving for a transfer and a postgame boarding queue.

Car makes the whole trip work

Compare a parking pass with a booked ride. Include the approach, your seat-side needs and the return meeting point.

Work through the car options

These are trip-fit calls, not fastest-route promises. A late train home, mobility needs or a different event can change the answer.

Get the right side of the stadium in mind

Separate three things: the auto gate, the lot and the stadium entrance. The same letter can name different things. A parking choice is incomplete until you can connect all three to your seat.

Map caution: its old bus symbol near Top Deck is not current service advice. Use the dated Metro service instructions below for operating stops.

South Bay: use its own branch

Board at Slauson, Manchester, Harbor Freeway, Rosecrans or Harbor Gateway Transit Center, Bay 9. At the stadium, use the right-field stop for the South Bay return.

Make the direction part of your meeting plan. “The bus stop” is not specific enough when your party separates.

Check the current Metro service guide

2026 POSTSEASON / OPERATOR CHECKED OCTOBER 8

Metro’s postseason bulletin starts both branches three hours before first pitch. Union buses are scheduled every 5–10 minutes through the second inning. South Bay buses are scheduled every 20 minutes; the last Harbor Gateway departure is at game time.

Return service ends one hour after the final out or 30 minutes after postgame events, whichever is later. South Bay returns begin after the seventh inning. The Express is free with a game ticket; connecting transit may charge separately.

Read Metro’s 2026 postseason notice

Metro’s general guide lists South Bay buses every 30 minutes; the Dodgers’ generic shuttle page gives different start and return times. The figures above follow Metro’s dated 2026 postseason notice. These are service windows, not reserved departures or guaranteed waits. Recheck for your game; no 2027 service is implied.

If you drive, choose the product and the gate

Drive if it solves your actual trip: several awkward transfers, a party with different arrival needs, or a base that works poorly with the available service. Then choose the parking product and gate together. A closer-looking lot is not automatically the quickest exit.

General gate → possible lots:

  • A10 / 11 / 12
  • B2 / 3
  • C3 / 4 / 15
  • D4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 15
  • E5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 10

Assignments vary. Follow attendants.

Check general parking instructions

Preferred parking requires an advance purchase and the available lot choices vary. Match the actual product to the map before paying.

Check the preferred parking options

Price the game you are attending. A generic parking rate is not a quote for your postseason game or another event. Keep the confirmed pass available before joining the entry line.

Check current parking rates

A ride needs a return meeting point

Uber: Lot 1, via Gate B. The dedicated Uber notice is linked below. The generic car-service page conflicts; do not use that conflicting wording to choose an Uber pickup.

Check the dedicated Uber instructions

For another ride service, confirm its current event instructions in the app and with the venue. Agree on a precise meeting location before splitting up; keep a workable alternative if the quoted wait or fare changes.

A booked ride removes the need to park. It does not remove the walk to its pickup area, the meeting-point problem or the possibility of a queue.

Check the entire accessible journey

Metro says Express buses have wheelchair ramps or lifts. That does not establish an accessible route between every seat and every stop.

Before choosing a mode, ask the venue to connect your seat level, entry gate and arrival location. Confirm how assistance works after the game, too. Venue pages disagree on accessible-lot lists, so this guide does not select one for you.

Leave room for the part you came for

You came to see your team in this ballpark. Give the arrival plan its own attention, then let the baseball take over.

Finish the return plan before first pitch

Before leaving your base, save the stop name, the final connection you can use and a backup. After the game, a shuttle to Union Station is only one leg of the trip. It does not guarantee that your onward train will still be running.

If you will stay for a postgame event, recheck its effect on the return window. If you are driving, save the location where you actually parked rather than the lot you hoped to use. If your party splits, name both a meeting point and a fallback contact method.

Build this plan while everyone still has battery, signal and patience. The ninth inning can remain about baseball.
