NEW ORLEANS / SPORTS CAMPUS

Two venues. One campus. Your game plan.

The Superdome, Smoothie King Center and Champions Square belong to one downtown sports campus. Learn the relationship once, then choose the guidance for your actual event.

ORIENTATION / OFFICIAL SOURCE

Read the campus before choosing a door.

The operator’s map shows the real venues, streets and parking facilities. Open it for the full view; the same key relationships are explained below.

Official campus map: Caesars Superdome / Legends Global. Link checked October 6, 2026 (UTC). Map filename: REV050526; this is a filename label, not a claimed publication date.

Caesars Superdome

1500 Sugar Bowl Drive; north of Smoothie King Center on the operator map, with Dave Dixon Drive between them.

Smoothie King Center

1501 Dave Dixon Drive; south of the Superdome; Howard Avenue borders its southern side.

Champions Square

East of the Superdome at LaSalle Street, directly off the Grand Staircase at Gate C; not the arena entrance.

Shared parking

Garages around the Dome and Champions Garage/Lot 3 east of the arena; Lot 4 west of the arena. This is orientation, not permission or a vacancy forecast.

Approach geography

Poydras Street lies north of campus; South Claiborne/I-10 at its western side; Loyola Avenue to the east. RTA provides the separate current network/trip-planning layer.

What this orientation cannot promise: an open gate, a parking space, a permitted crossing, a step-free route or a walking time. Event barriers and access arrangements can change.

SHARED CAMPUS BOARD

Choose the venue. Then choose the approach.

01 / VENUE

Dome or arena?

Shared streets do not make ticket entrances, security checks or event rules interchangeable.

02 / ARRIVAL

Build around your event.

Use the common geography, then the exact venue’s parking, transit and accessibility guidance.

03 / RECHECK

Verify before you commit.

Check your event date for parking, pickup arrangements and transit service. A static map cannot confirm them.

Leave room for how New Orleans does game day.

Champions Square is an outdoor events space beside the Dome and a Saints pregame gathering place. It can be part of the buildup to your football visit; it is not a shortcut that guarantees access to either venue.

For Saints games, the current playbook describes ticket checks and security at the Square, with no re-entry after entering there. Other Square events have their own access conditions.

Wear your colors. Give the host city a little room in the weekend.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE

The date changes the details.

Check the correct operator for event access, parking and pickup arrangements. If you need a step-free approach, arrange the venue-specific arrival and return with the operator; the Grand Staircase is not an accessible-route instruction.

For public transit, use the current RTA planner and alerts. This page does not treat a route number on an older system map as proof of today’s campus service.

Sources checked October 6, 2026 (UTC). Geographic relationships retain the approved October 4 operator-map reading. Recheck operational details for your event.

NEXT MOVE

Take your plan through the right door.

Start with the venue on your ticket. For the wider weekend, choose a base that suits everything you want from New Orleans.
